About the role
Lead the mechanical design and development of next-generation EGMs (Electronic Gaming Machines) through our Refurbishment Center. This role requires a strong background in BOM ownership, root cause analysis, DFSS principles, and supplier collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring experience from fast-paced product development cycles, working closely with cross-functional teams from concept to commercial mass production through end-of-life.
Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design for sustaining our portfolio of EGMs.
- Ownership of the maintenance of our BOMs for NPI (New Product Introduction) and RPI (Refurbished Product Introduction).
- Collaborate with internal partners—Electrical Engineering, Quality, Field Service, and Manufacturing Engineering & Operations teams—to define, develop, and implement mechanical solutions.
- Implement best practices such as tolerance analysis, GD&T, DFMEA, DFM/DFA to ensure designs are reliable, manufacturable, serviceable, safe in operation, and comply with product and regulatory requirements.
- Create and iterate 3D SolidWorks models, 2D drawings, and BOM lifecycle management for the life of a product.
- Ownership of ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) from creation through implementation utilizing PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools.
- Work with FEA simulation experts to optimize designs.
- Conduct design reviews, lead root cause analysis, and implement improvements to product design and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and support organizational design best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in new product design, manufacturing with a focus on mechanical engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Deep knowledge of injection molding, die casting, sheet metal, and machining processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in high-volume product development, DFM/DFA principles, and refurbishment principles.
- Hands-on experience with product testing, prototype evaluation, and reliability testing.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and material selection for recyclability and the environment.
- Proficiency with 3D & 2D CAD systems (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience with BOM management utilizing PLM systems (Siemens Team Center preferred).
- Experience creating and processing Engineering Change Orders.

Pay
$84,000 - $156,000 per year. Final offers will be based on experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
