Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Senior Engineer role with Ecolab’s Pest Elimination RD&E team is an exciting opportunity to lead innovation for a global, $1B+ business while helping shape the future of pest solutions. The position offers a unique chance to work across Marketing, Operations, Sales, Finance, Training, and RD&E to develop new equipment, protocols, and service programs that solve real customer needs. It's especially compelling for someone who enjoys combining technical depth, cross-functional leadership, and creative problem-solving to bring new ideas from concept through launch.
Responsibilities
- Maintain employee safety standards including 6S/ISO lab standards.
- Provide leadership, communication, and establish strong connections with Entomologists, Equipment & Connected Solutions (ECS), and DigitalLead development and maintenance projects to deliver a portfolio of new and modified service solutions including new equipment, protocols, and market segment programs.
- Participate in the Phase 0/1 Ideation Process with Marketing partners and ensure new concepts are prioritized and tied to customer insights. Identify customer’s unmet needs and develop proactive solutions.
- Drive execution of Phase Gate with new product development activities while demonstrating cross-functional and global thinking in planning and coordination of project priorities.
- Evaluate and assess various technologies identified for possible use in new products & solutions.
- Develop relationships with suppliers to leverage innovation and differentiation.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 2 years’ experience working in an RD&E environment
- 2 years’ experience in product development from concept through launch
Qualifications
- MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience as R&D Program or Project Leader, Project Management
- Experience exploring new technologies and testing such technologies in the field
- Experience providing technical support to sales/service teams
- Comfortable with independent work, ambiguity, and handling multiple projects
- Curious individual with the ability to see beyond the obvious
- History of success on new product/solution development teams
- Expertise in plastic materials, processes and part design (injection, blow and roto molding)
- Experienced SAP/EPIC/Solid Works user
- Understands intellectual property principals and has IP experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

Pay
Annual Or Hourly Compensation Range: $85,900.00 - $128,900.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
