Senior Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications

• 8+ years of MEP Engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
• PE license (preferred, but not required)
• Strong technical aptitude and project management skills
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of federal and state codes governing MEP design

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical Systems: Develop flow diagrams, perform heat load and static pressure calculations, size equipment and ductwork
• Electrical Systems: Design basic one-line risers, specify fire alarm devices, develop lighting and control plans, determine power and feeder requirements
• Plumbing Systems: Select appropriate fixtures, design pipe sizing and routing (sanitary, storm, gas, and domestic), ensure proper venting and service sizing
• Fire Protection: Design risers and sprinkler head locations
