What you will do:

  • Lead advanced FEA and multiphysics simulations to support design, optimization, and troubleshooting of complex systems.
  • Own analysis activities end-to-end, including model setup, validation, and design recommendations.
  • Perform structural (linear and nonlinear), thermal, vibration, and coupled multiphysics analyses.
  • Translate simulation results into actionable design improvements that enhance performance and reliability.
  • Partner with engineering and process teams to define modeling approaches and validation strategies.
  • Design and support test plans to correlate models with experimental data.
  • Influence product architecture and subsystem design through physics-based insights.
  • Serve as a technical reviewer and subject matter expert for modeling across programs.
  • Establish and promote best practices in simulation, validation, and engineering rigor.
  • Mentor and support engineers in developing modeling skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field
  • 5–15+ years of industry experience in FEA or multiphysics modeling
  • Strong proficiency in Ansys (Mechanical / Workbench required; APDL experience preferred)
  • Proven ability to correlate simulation results with physical testing
  • Strong understanding of fundamental physics and practical engineering applications
  • Experience driving design decisions through analysis, not just supporting them
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present to cross-functional teams and leadership

PAY:

The U.S. base salary range for this role is $121,050.08 - $181,575.12.
