What You'll Do
- Empirical and simulated rotordynamics leveraging existing tools and development of new techniques and engineering software
- Software development: data acquisition, digital signal processing, and analysis of high-speed signals
- Dynamic testing including experimental modal analysis (EMA)
- Test design and automation
- Model verification and validation
- Participate in reviews of technical designs and papers as either the primary engineer or a panel member
- Accomplishing complex engineering assignments in your specialty
- Makes independent decisions on engineering problems and methods
- Preparation and presentation of routine and special engineering reports and other design documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related fields of study
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience may include: Rotordynamics, Dynamic testing, Digital signal processing (DSP), Software development in Python, Finite element analysis (FEA) in ANSYS, Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Preference may be given to candidates with a higher level of experience
- Active DOE Q Clearance
