From designing new and renovated systems to providing building commissioning and retro-commissioning services, we develop cost-effective solutions that enhance health, safety, comfort, and sustainability. Our designs emphasize performance, long-term facility operations, and data-driven decisions through close client collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical systems, including sizing, routing, and coordinating piping and ductwork with minimal supervision.
  • Generate coordinated plan layouts from schematic flow diagrams.
  • Coordinate designs with civil, architectural, structural, electrical, and process engineering teams.
  • Prepare construction drawings for bid sets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards and project requirements.
  • Mentor junior design staff by providing clear guidance, assigning tasks, and outlining expected outcomes.
  • Conduct site investigations and fieldwork to assess existing facilities and integrate new mechanical system layouts.
  • Provide construction administration services, including responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings and submittals.
  • Perform QA/QC on drawings from drafters or designers on projects.
  • Occasional travel to client/project sites.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or certification from a technical school required; Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Familiarity with commercial, institutional, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing facilities for private, government, municipal, industrial, and institutional clients.
  • Experience with industry standards (ASHRAE, ASPE).
  • Experience attending design and review meetings with clients.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, follow directions, and maintain attention to detail.

Pay

$78,500 to $104,400 per year (depending on qualifications).
