• $40–$90 per hour• 100% remote• Part-time• About 15–20 hours a week, you choose when Work on the cutting edge of AI design systems, on your own schedule, and get paid for the mechanical design expertise you already have. The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real mechanical design engineers. The teams building them need experts who can study complex CAD assemblies, create difficult technical questions, judge whether the AI's answers are accurate and complete, write the defensible answer a professional would give, and explain exactly where the reasoning falls short. Your judgment becomes part of how the next generation of AI systems understands mechanical design. This is that work, done remotely, around your current job. What you'll do• Analyze multi-part CAD assemblies and document their design intent and constraints• Create demanding technical questions that probe less obvious issues in CAD assemblies• Verify technical answers directly against CAD models and provide defensible conclusions• Review AI-generated mechanical reasoning, explain inaccurate or incomplete conclusions, and recommend targeted improvements Why this is worth your time• Get paid $40–$90 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job• Work directly with frontier AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most mechanical design engineers will not have for years• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping mechanical design engineering, and the people who understand it from the inside will lead that change• Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute Who this is for• At least five years creating and overseeing mechanical assemblies made up of multiple parts across fields such as industrial machinery, robotics, consumer products, tooling and fixtures, automotive, aerospace, or medical devices• Mastery of a major parametric CAD tool, with at least one from this group: SolidWorks, CATIA, Onshape, Fusion, Creo, Solid Edge, NX, or Inventor• Strong written English and technical experience with tolerance judgment, GD&T, mechanisms, kinematics, design intent, and assembly reasoning• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools. Pay and details• $40–$90 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor• About 15–20 hours a week, you choose when; fully remote, United States How to apply1.
