About the role

A Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at HEAPY will play a pivotal role in the design and development of sustainable, resilient buildings. You will be responsible for leading mechanical design projects from concept through to completion, collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for sustainable buildings
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions that enhance building performance and sustainability
  • Manage the design process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering
  • Experience with sustainable building design and green building certifications (LEED, WELL, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Passion for sustainability and innovation in the built environment
  • Experience working on complex projects and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

  • Strong technical skills in mechanical engineering
