About the role
The Senior Materials Manager owns the supply chain that supports GEOTEK's engineered fiberglass composite products, particularly PUPI® crossarms, which are the market leader. This role is part of a senior leadership team with significant scope, including strategic procurement, inventory management, logistics, warehouse operations, and a team of buyers and warehouse personnel.
Responsibilities
- Owns materials from forecast to warehouse floor, tying MRP strategy to production schedules and managing supplier relationships for resins, glass fibers, hardware, and coatings (domestic and international).
- Manages lot traceability and shelf-life compliance, plans freight and logistics, and continuously improves supply chain processes.
- Works cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance teams.
- Develops and scales the team ahead of business growth.
Requirements
- 5+ years in materials management, supply chain, or procurement in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on ERP/MRP experience.
- Direct international sourcing and supplier management experience.
- Comfort managing temperature-sensitive, lot-controlled, or technically specified materials.
- Leadership experience, managing a team and building one.
- Composites experience is a plus but not required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations, or Engineering.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in materials management or supply chain leadership within composites or advanced materials manufacturing.
- Extensive experience leading a team of direct reports with a history of developing the team and delivering consistent successful results.
- Strong knowledge in ERP/MRP systems, production planning, and supplier performance management.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with regulated manufacturing environments (AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR) required.
Skills
- Deep understanding of composite raw materials, shelf-life management, and environmental storage controls.
- Proven ability to optimize inventory turns without impacting production continuity.
- Strong data-driven decision-making and communication abilities.

Pay
$112,000 - $155,000 annually. Final offers may vary based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
