About the role

The Senior Marketing Operations Manager, Growth Ops will strengthen the operating model behind Asana’s growth funnel by connecting product behavior, marketing systems, revenue workflows, and business reporting. They will optimize and own systems infrastructure supporting self-serve and product-led growth across product, CDP, lifecycle, CRM, and related tooling. They will design and operationalize Product Qualified Lead (PQL) workflows, enable lifecycle marketing through scalable segmentation and event-driven campaign infrastructure, and partner cross-functionally with Data Science, Product, Marketing Analytics, and Revenue teams.

Responsibilities

  • Strengthen the operating model behind Asana’s growth funnel by creating the connective tissue between product behavior, marketing systems, revenue workflows, and business reporting.
  • Optimize and own systems infrastructure that supports our self-serve and product-led growth funnel across product, CDP, lifecycle, CRM, and related tooling.
  • Design and operationalize Product Qualified Lead (PQL) workflows, including scoring logic, trigger criteria, routing rules, service-level expectations, and handoff processes with Revenue partners.
  • Translate ideal customer profile (ICP) definitions and product usage patterns into actionable audience segmentation frameworks activated consistently across channels.
  • Enable lifecycle marketing through scalable segmentation and event-driven campaign infrastructure, partnering closely with lifecycle marketers who own program strategy.
  • Possess an analytical foundation to partner effectively with Data Science and Analytics stakeholders on scoring models, data quality, and funnel investigations.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating operational complexity into practical, executive recommendations.
  • Demonstrate curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.
  • Experience operationalizing PQL scoring frameworks, building trigger-based campaign infrastructure, or optimizing data flows between product analytics and CRM environments.

Requirements

8+ years of Marketing Operations experience in a B2B SaaS organization. Strong systems thinking and experience in marketing operations, growth operations, lifecycle operations, or revenue operations within a SaaS environment. Hands-on experience working across product-led or self-serve funnels, utilizing go-to-market systems such as CDPs, CRMs, and lifecycle marketing automation platforms. Skilled at managing complex initiatives and bringing clarity and structure to ambiguous problems with a high degree of autonomy. Possesses an analytical foundation to partner effectively with Data Science and Analytics stakeholders on scoring models, data quality, and funnel investigations. Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating operational complexity into practical, executive recommendations. Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making. Experience operationalizing PQL scoring frameworks, building trigger-based campaign infrastructure, or optimizing data flows between product analytics and CRM environments.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. Additional certifications in Marketing Operations, Data Science, or similar fields are a plus.

Skills

Strong understanding of marketing operations, growth operations, lifecycle operations, or revenue operations. Proficiency in using marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and CDPs. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation. Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies.

Pay

The estimated base salary range is between $182,000 - $207,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.

Schedule

The role is based in San Francisco with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner.
