About the Role

The Senior Marketing Automation Specialist is part of the AbbVie Digital Lab and will play an integral role in building patient-facing 1:1 marketing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Build, QC, and execute high-complexity brand omnichannel programs, including journeys (base cadences) and highly complex trigger programs to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time through the right channel.
  • Ensure high quality, on-time, and error-free implementation, testing, and QA of campaigns within the marketing automation platform.
  • Create, review, and share standard quality control documents and follow processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Lead and manage junior team members' day-to-day work and perform QA of their programs.
  • Monitor email deliverability across domains for all brand campaigns implemented. Provide recommendations on optimizing deliverability, resolving IP reputation issues, and ensuring proper inbox placement.
  • Identify issues, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions for campaign builds, IP reputation, and deliverability.
  • Participate in agile delivery activities such as design, build, QA, and continuous improvement. Maintain documents per department document management policies and procedures.
  • Influence and implement capabilities including targeting, personalization, audience segmentation, and dynamic, personalized content to deliver the best customer experience.
  • Build and execute test plans, identify winners, and proactively recommend optimization opportunities to ensure high email deliverability, reach, and engagement.
  • Lead various internal/external partners to define, execute, and optimize email, direct mail, and media campaigns. Cross-functional teams include Brand Marketing, Strategy, Business Technology Solutions, Marketing Analytics & Business Insights, Creative, and Digital Agencies.
  • Provide exemplary customer service while setting, maintaining, and exceeding brand expectations. Provide updates on projects and any risks to the Associate Director.
  • Keep abreast of 1:1 marketing and email industry best practices and new technology by participating in professional organizations, attending industry seminars and conferences. Provide recommendations to the Associate Director on how to apply at AbbVie.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Database Marketing, CRM, Email, Digital, Direct Mail, or 1:1 marketing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on work experience creating marketing campaigns in enterprise-level marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
  • Ability to think strategically with a strong ability to execute plans and exceed stakeholder expectations and project goals.
  • Ability to work independently without day-to-day supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Demonstrates a clear aptitude for managing projects.
  • Ability to assign priorities and meet delivery dates.
  • Strong client service and project management skills; ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical individuals.
  • Knowledge of database, email, digital, and 1:1 marketing concepts and best practices.
  • Inquisitive with strong analytical skills, including the ability to infer and apply learnings.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, SQL, and HTML/CSS.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Pay

The compensation range for this role is based on the job grade and may vary depending on geographic location. AbbVie believes in good faith it will pay within this range at the time of posting. Individual compensation will depend on various factors, and the company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
