Senior Market Leader - Renewables
About the Role
The Senior Market Leader works with clients to identify needs and develop comprehensive solutions, focusing on business growth within the renewable market. This position emphasizes innovative client solutions that address both current and future market and client needs. The role prioritizes mentorship of the team and demonstrates excellent collaborative skills at Ulteig, throughout the industry, and with strategic partners and clients. The ideal candidate is curious, a strong critical thinker, solution-minded, and adept at bringing together resources, partners, and technology.
Responsibilities
- Develop, promote, and sell services and solutions related to the Renewables industry to existing and prospective clients.
- Participate in coaching and mentoring team members to onboard and diversify skillsets across the team.
- Lead with influence across the organization (Business Development, Marketing, Proposals, Project Management, Engineering/Operations, Finance, Legal) to pursue, propose, and win business.
- Listen to clients, address market challenges, and meet evolving client needs with compelling, comprehensive solutions.
- Conduct analysis and assess market potential; develop and execute Lifeline Sector plans and case studies accounting for external (industry, competitive, client) dynamics and internal support needed to deliver goals.
- Invest in and maintain awareness of developing consultative and engineering technologies and solutions.
- Identify, develop, and convert opportunities with new and existing clients within the renewable lifeline sector.
- Engage with the industry and clients to effectively represent Ulteig, enhance its reputation, and build high-impact relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or Finance degree preferred.
- MBA Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in business development, client management, engineering, and/or renewable project development.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy development for a large, utility-scale developer, EPC, or IPP highly preferred.
- Strong business acumen in strategic partnerships, innovation, project management, proposals, business development, and consulting engineering.
- Strong reputation in the renewable market, with speaking and thought leadership experience at industry events and solid working relationships with clients.
- Demonstrated business development results and success.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Promotes a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Highly motivated and results-driven.
- Demonstrates ability to influence and collaborate with individuals at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to travel.
- Well-rounded knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of associated industries.

Pay
Target base compensation range for this role is $160,200–$216,600. Factors that may determine your actual salary include job-specific skills, education, training, job location, years of experience related to this role, and comparison to other employees in this role.
