About the role
To keep pace in this exciting, multi-disciplinary field, we’re looking for a Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer. You will be in a unique position to from the ground up:
- Architect & Develop the Solution: Develop the end-to-end Manufacturing Test Solution (ICT, FCT, Burn-in, and System Level Test) for high-performance AI servers.
- Own the Lifecycle: From NPI (New Product Introduction) to high-volume manufacturing (HVM), you will lead the deployment of test solutions at our Tier-1 Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
- Software & Automation: Develop and maintain sophisticated test scripts and automation frameworks that minimize human intervention and maximize throughput.
- Diagnostics & Utilities: Collaborate with Hardware and Software teams to leverage and/or develop custom diagnostics that functionally exercise and stress the AI accelerator, high-speed interconnects, and memory subsystems.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Development: Define, design, and own the development of comprehensive manufacturing test strategies for hardware at the PCB, PCBA, and final system levels.
- Automation & Support: Develop and maintain automated manufacturing test solutions deployed within factory and contract manufacturing environments.
- Debugging & Root-Cause Analysis: Perform debugging and root-cause analysis for hardware, board-level, and system-level failures encountered during manufacturing and product bring-up.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Hardware Design, Validation, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure robust test coverage, drive yield improvement, and optimize manufacturability.
- Test Execution & Deployment: Support PCBA manufacturing testing, including Boundary Scan, Functional Test, and System Integration Testing, and partner with Contract Manufacturers for test deployment, sustainment, and issue resolution.
- Data Infrastructure: Develop test software, Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs), and supporting infrastructure necessary for manufacturing data collection, traceability, and analysis.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience: 10 or more years of experience in developing manufacturing tests for hardware products.
- Core Expertise: Demonstrated, hands-on proficiency in:
- PCB and PCBA manufacturing test processes.
- Hardware validation and bring-up procedures.
- Designing and developing tests within manufacturing settings.
- Manufacturing Support: Proven experience supporting PCBA manufacturing lines or working with contract manufacturers (CMs).
- Test Automation: Strong understanding of manufacturing test automation, including:
- Automated functional testing.
- Factory test infrastructure management.
- Test data collection and subsequent analysis.
- Software Development: Experience developing test software utilizing:
- Python and/or C/C++.
- Linux-based operating environments.
- Tooling & Infrastructure: Familiarity with relevant test tooling and infrastructure, such as:
- GUI-based test applications.
- Databases (e.g., MySQL / SQL).
- Cloud-based systems (e.g., AWS) for managing test data and automation.
