Senior Software (AI) Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and designs testing procedures to ensure software meets established quality standards.
• Develops and writes testing scripts and plans to ensure software functions as expected.
• Involves in a variety of user testing.
• Prepares complex data sets to test logic, error handling, and system workflows.
• Conducts testing of more complex features.
• Verifies fixes.
• Maintains and documents testing results according to required procedures.
• Works independently with some responsibility for leading a small team.
• Assists in developing an AI program for automating requirements and test case preparation.
• Designs and develops test automation scripts using Selenium with Python, leveraging available AI models and LLMs.
• Builds solutions using Visual Studio Code, Python, and related technologies to harness generative AI and LLMs.
• Integrates the existing Python test automation framework with AI-based solutions to improve coverage, reliability, and efficiency.
• Ensures all AI scripts and programs are fully executable on postal-issued laptops within approved security and environment constraints.
• Trains designated team members to execute, troubleshoot, and maintain the AI scripts and programs.
• Develops comprehensive training materials and documentation to support knowledge transfer and long-term maintenance.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the full lifecycle (SDLC) with Agile/Scrum experience.
• A strong understanding of Web-based applications.
• Proven ability to plan, develop, deploy automated test frameworks and scripts based upon BDD (Cucumber) / ATDD approach.
• Experience using Java/Ruby Automation Frameworks, including framework development.
• Experience with Build Processes using Jenkins or Cloud Management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (ability to translate between business and technical concepts).
• 8+ years' extensive experience developing automation tests in Selenium (TestNG).
• 8+ years' experience developing automated tests with Selenium / SOAPUI.
• Proven ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical.
• Proven ability to track, and fully document changes to business requirements (both functional and system).

Required Skills

• A minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years' relevant experience.
• A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required.
• If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field, four additional years of related experience is required.
• Additional Provisions:
• Pass a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check, and credit check.
• Candidates must be a US Citizen, permanent status Green card holder.
• Candidates cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years.
• All candidates must be a US Citizen, permanent status Green card holder.
• Military Service excluded (Exception does not include military family members).
• All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative.
• The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e. collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women.
