Position Details

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations and drive production excellence across assigned manufacturing cells. This onsite position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

Work Schedule

This position supports 3rd Shift operations. Candidates must be available to work the following schedule based on business needs: 3rd Shift: Monday through Friday, 9:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and supervise daily manufacturing operations for assigned production cells, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved.
  • Manage, coach, and develop manufacturing employees while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor production schedules, prioritize work, and optimize workflow to meet customer commitments and operational objectives.
  • Drive quality compliance by ensuring manufacturing processes, documentation, and products meet established standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Cook with Materials, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to resolve production issues and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Monitor production performance through data analysis, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, process optimization, waste reduction, and operational excellence.
  • Support manufacturing innovation initiatives, including automation, digital transformation, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to resolve production concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Promote a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies while supporting employee engagement and operational excellence.

    Qualifications You Must Have

    • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
    • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

    Qualifications We Prefer

    • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
    • Experience managing high-demand production environments, material shortages, or recovery plans.
    • Experience supporting automation, digital transformation, or smart manufacturing initiatives.
    • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
    • Knowledge of production scheduling, workforce planning, and manufacturing performance metrics.
