Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Product Integrity (Apparel & Footwear)

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current apparel and footwear capabilities, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Identify gaps and recommend improvements in tools, processes, and quality controls.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve material and color quality.
  • Work to reduce defects and ensure overall product integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Development, Sourcing, Engineering, Standards, Material Vendors, Factories).
  • Partner with engineers and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Science, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, quality assurance, or related field.
  • End-to-end experience in footwear and/or apparel, from design to manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of textile manufacturing, dyeing, finishing, printing, and testing.
  • Understanding of fibers, yarns, knits, wovens, and materials inspection.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet, Tableau, Miro, or Slack is preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail and a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity and adapting to change.

Pay

Commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day remote.
