Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Product Industrialization
Job Description
Partner with R&D teams to optimize new product designs for manufacturability and assembly. Identify, analyze, and implement cost reduction solutions using lean manufacturing techniques to improve product cost structure. Develop and execute validation plans, including process and product validation activities. Provide technical support and root cause analysis to resolve production floor issues, including yield challenges and nonconforming products.
Utilize SAP for material management, quality notifications, production tracking, and reporting. Initiate, track, and close SICR (Supplier/Internal Corrective Reports) to address nonconformances and improve supplier/internal quality performance. Lead and manage CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) including root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.
Lead the creation and maintenance of documentation for production release, including process requirements, PFMEA, process validation, manufacturing control plans, and work instructions. Coordinate and perform First Article Inspection (FAI) to ensure compliance with engineering requirements.
Experience in incoming inspection and managing SQN (Supplier Quality Notifications) to ensure supplier quality and timely resolution of nonconformances. Collaborate across engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle-planning, design, review, implementation, testing, and delivery-ensuring customer requirements are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience applying engineering principles in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and methodical problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide technical leadership in ambiguous situations.
