About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer II (Electrical) to support and lead processing projects in our world-class manufacturing facility in Richmond, VA. You will provide electrical engineering services and technical expertise for processing equipment, working with in-house electricians, maintenance support, and OEM resources.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead processing operations projects, applying technical practices and procedures.
  • Maintain technical standards, principles, and business processes while growing knowledge in these areas.
  • Develop work priorities and plans based on business objectives.
  • Serve as a technical resource in your area of specialization.
  • Prioritize and allocate resources for multi-functional projects or department projects within budget guidelines.
  • Manage capital projects with associated scope and budgets of $1–$5 million annually.
  • Transform technical and business knowledge into solutions others can use.
  • Mentor and develop technical talent within the department.
  • Apply equipment or process knowledge to analyze and troubleshoot machinery problems in support of factory maintenance personnel.
  • Make decisions using independent judgment under time constraints with minimal direction when required.
  • Support back shifts, weekends, and minimal travel as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience with DCS controls and systems in a processing facility.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience leading technical projects and presenting scope, timelines, and budgets to senior leadership.
  • Willingness to take initiative and accountability.
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities in a changing environment.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $104,900.00 – $152,150.00, based on experience, knowledge, and qualifications.
