Responsibilities

  • Designs and analyzes complex electro-mechanical components and systems.
  • Conducts studies and testing on new and modified designs.
  • Directs others in the development of design information for use in drawings and specifications.
  • Serves as leader for small technical teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, Master’s degree would be a benefit.
  • Minimum prior work experience of 15 years in the area of mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or a closely related engineering field.
  • Significant experience in an industrial, shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to created models and drawings, present design reviews and coordinate multiple project responsibilities.
  • Must be a team player.

Qualifications

  • Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.

Skills

  • Experience with software specific to role such as: MS office, VISIO, SolidEdge, TeamCenter, Oracle and AutoCad.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, such as machining, welding, winding, or assembly.
  • Experience with fixture or tooling design and manufacture.
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design to Cost (DTC) concepts.
  • Ability to apply software specific to role such as: MS office, VISIO, SolidEdge, TeamCenter, Oracle and AutoCad.
