Responsibilities
- Designs and analyzes complex electro-mechanical components and systems.
- Conducts studies and testing on new and modified designs.
- Directs others in the development of design information for use in drawings and specifications.
- Serves as leader for small technical teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, Master’s degree would be a benefit.
- Minimum prior work experience of 15 years in the area of mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or a closely related engineering field.
- Significant experience in an industrial, shop or manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to created models and drawings, present design reviews and coordinate multiple project responsibilities.
- Must be a team player.
Qualifications
- Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
Skills
- Experience with software specific to role such as: MS office, VISIO, SolidEdge, TeamCenter, Oracle and AutoCad.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, such as machining, welding, winding, or assembly.
- Experience with fixture or tooling design and manufacture.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design to Cost (DTC) concepts.
- Ability to apply software specific to role such as: MS office, VISIO, SolidEdge, TeamCenter, Oracle and AutoCad.
