Description
Auria is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,900 people worldwide. We are currently searching for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our Fremont Plant in Fremont, OH.
What you will do
- Captures development of new and replacement programs; tooling and processes ahead of launch requirements.
- Facilitates internal change process, capital projects, and leads cross-functional initiatives to improve plant performance.
- Maintains APQP documentation as required.
- Facilitates regular APQP plant meetings.
- Interfaces with customers and AURIA Corporate Engineering and Program Management groups to provide required resources and support for launch activities.
- Supports design engineering changes on new and existing programs.
- Serves as site leader for internal and external change management.
- Performs, develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
- Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow by designing the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Examines, plans, and specifies new machinery or equipment to determine if all safety precautions have been included.
- Inspects fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facility to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations for new work cells.
- Supports Manufacturing/Process Engineering duties as needed.

What you will bring
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical experience with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience.
