Responsibilities
- Own manufacturing readiness for parts and assemblies.
- Support production build activities and ensure high-quality outputs.
- Troubleshoot yield, quality, and throughput challenges.
- Develop work instructions, travelers, and tooling.
- Partner with supply chain and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Serve as the manufacturing owner for assigned parts and products, ensuring readiness, quality, and delivery performance.
- Drive process improvements, including cycle time reduction and production scaling.
- Resolve manufacturing issues impacting yield, throughput, and quality.
- Support Assembly, Integration & Test activities.
- Participate in non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis.
- Provide manufacturing input during design reviews.
- Design and implement tooling and process solutions.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation.
- Support production floor activities and work directly with technicians.
- Manage manufacturing orders and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Cook up and train technicians on processes and procedures.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Strong production floor presence and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in regulated/high-reliability environments.
Essential Skills
- Design for manufacturing expertise.
- GD&T knowledge.
- Electronic Work Instruction Creation.
- High Reliability Manufacturing.
- Leveraging Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- CAD software proficiency.
- IPC 620 Certification.
- Ability to perform tolerance stack-ups and analyses.
- Experience in R&D for new processes or vendors.
