Senior Managing Consultant - Manufacturing & Operations (Wayfinders Consulting)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Managing Consultant to join our Supply Chain Transformation & Operations Excellence practice. This role is ideal for a team leader with a strong background in manufacturing strategy, operational excellence, and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead transformation projects across manufacturing strategy, plant operations, quality systems, and digital enablement.
- Build and sustain client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
- Together with practice leadership, shape the Manufacturing & Operations consulting offering, including methodologies, accelerators, and thought leadership.
- Mentor and develop high-performing consulting teams with deep domain expertise.
- Collaborate with digital, supply chain, and sustainability practices to deliver integrated solutions.
- Drive go-to-market strategy and participate in business development efforts including proactive proposals, RFPs, and executive presentations.
- Build a robust pipeline of opportunities across sectors such as industrials, automotive, aerospace, and consumer products.
- Meet or exceed revenue, margin, and growth targets.
Required Skills & Experience
- Consulting & Industry Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting or industry roles with a focus on manufacturing and operations.
- Experience in manufacturing strategy, lean operations, quality systems, and plant performance improvement.
- Experience leading transformation projects at manufacturing sites and across global operations networks.
- Familiarity with mid-market and large enterprises ($1B–$20B+), including global and multi-site operations.
- Executive Engagement:
- Proven ability to engage and influence manufacturing and operations leaders.
- Experience working with site-level leadership as well as corporate operations executives.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills tailored to technical and executive audiences.
- Technical & Digital Knowledge:
- Understanding of smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0, MES, IoT, and digital twin technologies.
- Familiarity with operational analytics, quality management systems (QMS), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and manufacturing ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor etc).
- Knowledge of AI, robotics, and automation technologies.
- Industry experience in discrete manufacturing companies.

Pay & Benefits
Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $168,000 to $216,000 USD. Additionally, this role may be eligible for a short-term incentive based on company results and individual performance.
