Senior Managing Consultant, Application Consulting

As a trusted advisor, you'll forge strong relationships with customers, gaining deep insights into their business objectives and long-term aspirations. You will provide expert guidance on leveraging technology to propel them towards success, including aligning processes, developing and deploying bespoke solutions, and ensuring seamless integration and optimized performance.
You will conduct thorough needs assessments, uncovering requirements for new applications or upgrades, and document these specifications using Business Analysis (BA) methodologies. Your responsibilities will include crafting use cases, tracing requirements, visualizing process flows, and translating stakeholder requirements into functional and nonfunctional specifications.
You will guide customers through application modernization, helping them select and customize packaged solutions to fulfill their unique business needs. Collaboration with application architects and development staff will be key as you analyze requirements, plan design and implementation work, and ensure adherence to time, cost, and quality targets.
You will consult with customers on compatibility challenges such as hardware and operating system considerations, data conversion processes, and training requirements, offering holistic solutions aligned with their budgets. You will also assist in evaluating and choosing between multiple applications, including packaged solutions, to drive informed decision-making.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with diverse industries to tailor cutting-edge solutions to unique customer needs.
- Forge strong customer relationships and provide expert guidance on technology alignment and digital transformation.
- Conduct needs assessments and document application requirements using BA methodologies (use cases, process flows, etc.).
- Translate stakeholder requirements into functional and nonfunctional specifications.
- Guide customers through application modernization and future-proofing of systems.
- Assist in selecting and customizing packaged solutions to meet business needs.
- Work closely with application architects and development staff to analyze, design, and implement solutions.
- Consult on compatibility challenges (hardware, OS, data conversion, training) and align solutions with customer budgets.
- Help customers evaluate and choose between multiple applications, including packaged solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in application development and deployment.
- 5+ years in application migration and modernization.
- 5+ years in application architecture, middleware, and data experience.
- Strong technical acumen and deep working knowledge of Agile Methods, Service Architecture, and enterprise Cloud Integration.
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with a variety of technologies including BI, database principles, programming fundamentals, SQL, hardware/software, operating systems, and networking.
Preferred Skills
- SaaS application implementation experience (e.g., Oracle E-Business Suite, NetSuite, Infor, Unit 4, PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, Lawson).
- Experience with application modernization tools (e.g., CAST).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps processes and implementation.
- Experience assisting stakeholders in quantifying risks and developing mitigation and remediation strategies.

Pay
The compensation range for this position in the U.S. is $143,640 to $273,000 based on a full-time schedule. Actual compensation may vary depending on geography, job-related skills, and experience. Different ranges apply for specific locations:
- California (San Francisco Bay Area): $172,440 to $327,600
- California (All Other): $158,040 to $300,360
- Colorado: $143,640 to $273,000
- Massachusetts: $143,640 to $300,360
- New York City: $172,440 to $327,600
- Washington: $158,040 to $300,360
- Washington DC: $158,040 to $300,360
Part-time roles will have compensation adjusted appropriately.
