About the role

Within Marketing at GEICO, women's sports is one of the fastest-growing, highest-attention spaces in marketing today. Getting in early and getting it right is a real competitive advantage and a must-do. The Senior Manager, Women's Sports & Portfolio Innovation owns this practice area end to end: building GEICO's women's sports strategy from the ground up, redesigning the long-lead sponsorship portfolio roadmap, and serving as the primary steward for key sponsorships and talent relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vision, design, launch, and execution of GEICO's women's sports strategy from the ground up
  • Create purpose-driven, high-impact partnerships that resonate with diverse audiences and drive measurable brand lift
  • Integrate women's sports partnerships across GEICO's external marketing ecosystem, local marketing efforts, and internal associate engagement
  • Lead ideation and execution for high-impact, consumer-focused campaigns across women's sports
  • Shape authentic brand storytelling that elevates athletes, fans, and the GEICO brand together
  • Serve as primary steward and relationship lead for key women's sports sponsorships and talent agreements
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met while maximizing ROI on every partnership
  • Monitor the women's sports ecosystem — league expansion, ownership models, media platforms — to position GEICO ahead of the market
  • Build a multi-year portfolio roadmap that balances foundational partnerships with emerging opportunities and forward-looking bets
  • Anticipate rights cycles, growth curves, and emerging technology shifts that affect portfolio decisions
  • Establish clear investment guardrails, workflows, and decision frameworks to guide portfolio growth
  • Translate long-range strategy into annual planning, activation roadmaps, and budget requirements, advising leadership directly on trade-offs and growth opportunities
  • Build a disciplined test-and-scale framework to pilot new leagues, formats, platforms, and talent, and rapidly expand what works

Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years in sports and experiential marketing, with proven, demonstrable results building or leading a comparable sports, sponsorship, or partnership practice — not just supported one
  • Direct, named ownership of multi-year sponsorship portfolios at scale, including both traditional and non-traditional women's sports partnerships
  • Negotiated and stewarded brand or talent ambassador deals from ideation through execution
  • Operationalized a marketing practice — redesigning processes, workflows, and communications for scale
  • Activated partnerships at both local and national levels
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and uncover insights that drive brand and consumer impact

Qualifications

  • Direct relationships within the women's sports ecosystem — leagues, teams, talent, or media platforms
  • Experience building a practice area in a transformational or matrixed organization
  • Track record of identifying and scaling emerging partnership formats ahead of broader market adoption

Skills

  • Strategic thinking and execution
  • Brand storytelling and campaign creation
  • Partnership management and negotiation
  • Portfolio management and investment strategy
  • Performance analysis and data interpretation
