About the role
The Sr. Manager Treasury reports into the Sr. Director of Treasury & Accounting, responsible for managing the organization's day-to-day treasury operations, including liquidity management, banking operations, financial risk management, and cash flow forecasting activities. This role also serves as a key finance business partner, supporting transformation initiatives through automation, process optimization, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing treasury team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
- Establish clear goals, development plans, and performance metrics for members of the Treasury team.
- Build cross-functional relationships and influence across Finance, Digital, Procurement, and Sales teams.
- Treasury Strategy & Planning: Support the development and execution of the company’s treasury strategy in alignment with growth objectives and ownership goals.
- Partner closely with the Sr. Director of Treasury & Accounting on day-to-day decisions related to capital allocation, liquidity, and financial risk.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the treasury function, embracing technology and data-driven decision making.
- Track cash and liquidity KPIs, preparing regular performance insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Technology, Automation & Innovation: Support the transformation of treasury operations through automation, eliminating manual processes and driving scalability across the function.
- Leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to enhance cash forecasting accuracy, scenario analysis, and fraud detection capabilities.
- Deploy advanced analytics platforms and dashboards that provide real-time treasury visibility across the organization.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices relevant to treasury in the food and beverage sector.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA a plus.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive treasury experience.
- A minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required (complex financial modeling, dynamic dashboards, Power Bi, and macro development).
- Demonstrated experience supporting technology transformation initiatives, including TMS implementations, ERP integrations, or fintech deployments.
- Experience leveraging automation and AI tools to improve treasury operations and drive efficiencies.
- Strong knowledge of cash management, liquidity forecasting, capital markets, debt management, and financial risk management.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred CTP designation.
- Private equity-backed or privately held company experience.
- Experience in the food and beverage, consumer goods, or manufacturing industry.
