About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Marketing Manager to join our SoC team in San Jose, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting System LSI’s SoC semiconductor products, including WiFi/BT, UWB, GNSS, Modem, and AP (Application Processor), to customers across the US Market. This customer-facing role is highly cross-functional, where you will manage day-to-day account management activities on both the technical and business sides with internal and external teams. We seek a high-energy professional with strong communication skills for internal stakeholders and customers, with the ability to lead and develop new processes and ideas. Location: Daily onsite presence at our San Jose, CA office in alignment with our Flexible Work policy.

Reports to: Director, Technical Marketing SoC.

Responsibilities

  • Support design-in activities and business operations by working with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to secure customer engagements.
  • Act as the local support interface for US customers for existing accounts and ongoing programs (leading both FAE and commercial teams as a project manager).
  • Engage in engineering and commercial discussions with customers.
  • Conduct market surveys and develop new customers and applications.
  • Serve as the local point of contact for engineering and commercial VOC (Voice of Customer) collection, leading issue resolution by collaborating with internal stakeholders.
  • Report on ongoing and future projects to both US and Korea Executives.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholder teams such as Marketing, Sales, Product Planning, and development teams to understand S.LSI’s differentiated SoC offerings, roadmaps, and strategies.
  • Work with customer teams to map their requirements to existing S.LSI offerings, identify potential gaps, and champion their cause by driving internal development teams to address their needs and deliver technical solutions.
  • Develop and build relationships with customers’ teams to understand their technology needs, application requirements, and jointly define the best silicon/platform solutions to enable customer products.
  • Engage with Customer’s JDM/ODM and internal teams to manage sales operations for active programs.
  • Frequent collaboration and meetings with teams in Asia (Korea, China) and Europe, adapting to different time zones.

Requirements

  • Highly technical background with deep business acumen and the ability to synthesize technical and business information into clear, compelling executive-level presentations that influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline and 10+ years of experience, or Master’s and 8+ years of experience.
  • Experience in technical sales, marketing, management, technical/customer program management, or field applications engineering.
  • Both pre- and post-sales customer support experience.
  • Good understanding of the semiconductor industry, especially in SoC (System on Chip), including processors (AP and CP) and connectivity (WiFi/BT/UWB/GNSS).
  • Additional knowledge or experience with RF and Cellular (3G, 4G, LTE, and 5G) is a plus.
  • Understanding or past experience with ASIC design and manufacturing flow, including advanced packaging, is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze customer problems and needs from the component to system and application level, and propose solutions that align with Samsung LSI’s offerings.
  • Korean language proficiency is a plus but not required.

Pay

Base pay range: $176,000—$280,000 USD. In addition, we offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.
