About the role
L3Harris is seeking an Information Security Systems Engineering (ISSE) Senior Manager to lead a team in developing and implementing secure systems. This role focuses on ensuring the security of information systems, networks, and data throughout their lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of Information Security Systems Engineers.
- Forecast Systems Engineering Manpower needs based on Program and Potential demand forecast.
- Determine hiring needs and conduct searches to onboard needed System Engineers.
- Apply systems security engineering methods to architecture, development, and integration of systems.
- Ensure customer security needs and requirements are captured early and embedded throughout the lifecycle.
- Lead security authorization and ATO processes.
- Influence leadership on adoption of new security practices.
- Track all assigned systems for A&A (Assessment and Authorization) status and oversee accreditation/re-accreditation actions.
- Support proposal development activities including labor estimation (BOE creation and review) and technical response development.
- Establish training requirements for continued professional development of the team to meet business goals.
- Establish and manage department overhead budget and ensure staff has the tools and equipment needed to effectively conduct their roles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Physics, etc.) and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related engineering experience.
- Prior Senior Management or Lead Experience in Information Security Systems Engineering.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DoD Security policies and practices.
- Demonstrated direction for Engineering teams, which include identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement.
