Senior Manager, Technical Accounting

Position Overview

The Technical Accounting Senior Manager will report to senior accounting leadership and serve as a key resource for complex accounting matters across the organization. This individual will lead technical accounting research, prepare accounting position papers, evaluate complex transactions, support SEC reporting, and provide accounting guidance to business and corporate stakeholders. The position will partner closely with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Operations, Business Development, and external auditors. Located in Reston, VA (hybrid schedule).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting research
• Prepare accounting position papers
• Evaluate complex transactions
• Support SEC reporting
• Provide accounting guidance to business and corporate stakeholders
• Partner with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Operations, Business Development, and external auditors
• Gain exposure to acquisitions, revenue recognition, lease accounting, stock-based compensation, and SEC reporting
• Interact with executive leadership and multiple corporate functions

Pay

$165,000–$185,000 base salary with bonus potential (depending on experience)

Schedule

Hybrid – 3–4 days per week in the Reston office
