Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements before the IRS, resolving complex issues related to examinations and appeals
- Contribute to strategic initiatives to expand and enhance the Tax Controversy and Procedure practice
- Identify and pursue opportunities for innovation, service line development, and market expansion
- Spearhead internal and external knowledge-sharing efforts, contributing thought leadership on evolving and contentious tax matters
- Participate in industry forums, author technical insights, and support firm-wide training initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored, high-impact tax solutions aligned with client objectives and regulatory requirements
- Ensure seamless integration of controversy services with broader tax and advisory offerings
- Mentor and develop junior professionals, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and career development support
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture focused on excellence and continuous learning
- Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and client satisfaction
- Demonstrate strong communication and time management skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in public accounting (or similar experience)
- Current and valid CPA, EA, JD, or LLM credential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay
Forvis Mazars, LLP offers a competitive salary range based on experience, education, and skill set. The salary for this role will be determined based on the individual's qualifications. Non-exempt/hourly positions will be eligible for time and a half pay for hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
