Senior Manager, Tax Automation - Project Manager
About the role
KPMG is seeking a Senior Manager, Tax Technology to join their Business Tax Services practice. This role involves identifying and capitalizing on monetization opportunities through in-depth business insights and collaboration with cross-functional teams, defining a multi-year vision for product development and market focus, developing and presenting strategic packaging and pricing recommendations, creating and implementing improved processes to increase efficiency and productivity, and exploring avenues for leveraging proprietary insights through strategic partnerships or subscription models.
Responsibilities
- Identify and capitalize on monetization opportunities through in-depth business insights and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Define a compelling multi-year vision for product development and market focus, leveraging comprehensive product, customer, competitive, and financial research
- Develop and present strategic packaging and pricing recommendations to executive leadership, fostering alignment and buy-in for initiatives; lead discussions with senior stakeholders across various product teams to align on monetization strategies
- Create and implement improved processes to increase efficiency and productivity; develop innovative ideas for better monetizing data sources, focusing on incremental revenue generation and added value
Requirements
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in data analytics, strategy formulation, product strategy, and business development, preferably within a consulting or advisory capacity
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience; licensed CPA, JD/LLM or EA, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; one year from date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials if not possessed upon hire
- Proven leadership ability with a track record of inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams toward long-term goals
- Strong analytical mindset with the capability of underpinning decisions with data and translating complex insights into actionable strategies
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to distill complex data into compelling narratives for stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement better processes and efficiencies; creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on generating new ideas for monetizing data, facilitating business development and Go-To-Market initiatives
