Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. 100% on-site at Catalent’s Kansas City facility, which houses our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services, and Clinical Supply Services businesses.

About the role

  • Lead the planning team, including recruitment, development, coaching, mentoring, and retention of team members.
  • Maintain effective planning and scheduling processes to ensure site operations are forecasted and positioned for success.
  • Develop systems to make gaps between plan and actual performance visible to the organization.
  • Create and monitor capacity planning tools for short-, mid-, and long-term needs to meet forecasted demand.
  • Manage the Sales & Operations Planning cycle to develop achievable operating plans and production schedules aligned with financial and performance goals.
  • Oversee the development of schedules for machines, personnel, and materials; execute plans and make results visible.
  • Participate in daily production meetings.
  • Manage inventory levels to support business objectives, manufacturing requirements, and customer needs.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and development for direct and indirect reports.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge in a relevant field.
  • 8–10 years of scientific or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Experience dealing with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and associated regulations.
  • 10–12 years of supply chain or logistics experience with progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in a production environment.
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and/or APICS certification is preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience and 3–5 years of experience in regulatory audits, including DEA and associated regulations.
  • Experience hosting and leading client and internal inspections, including preparation, management, and follow-up for Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspections.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.
