About the role

This role is responsible for developing and executing the strategy for master planning, site material planning, material movement logistics, inventory control, as well as onsite and offsite warehouse operations. Reporting to the site General Manager, the Senior Supply Chain Manager is a highly visible role which will bring subject matter expertise to help influence the overall strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage the site MRP and any raw material delays.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all material logistics and warehouse activities (shipping, receiving, verification of release, and all inventory control) for the site to meet the company's business and regulatory objectives.
  • Lead demand planning, inventory management, and master production scheduling to ensure client success, schedule attainment, and capacity utilization.
  • Serve as the site procurement representative, developing and coordinating supply chain strategy with Strategic Sourcing to maximize customer delivery requirements, resource optimization, supply security, and schedule adherence while maintaining cost effectiveness and profitability.
  • Actively partner with stakeholder departments such as Manufacturing, Strategic Sourcing, Quality Operations, Project Management, Engineering, and Facilities to align and execute supply chain optimization projects.
  • Own material management for site audits within Supply Chain.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor departmental objectives, budgets, and schedules, including setting priorities and performance expectations while ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Lead and support strategic continuous improvement (CI) portfolio activities and projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Identify material usage variances and make necessary adjustments to the BOM and MRP.
  • Support proper utilization of ERP system (SAP), continuous improvement initiatives, and serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Lead the supply chain team in defining, executing, and monitoring best practices by measuring performance through routine analysis and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), establishing countermeasures as required.
  • Work with planners, warehouse, and logistics departments to determine and set up inter- and intra-company transfers.
  • Assist and support the Milford supply chain team to align sites and provide SAP expertise to both locations.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree with 10 or more years of supply chain management experience in a GMP environment, including 5 or more years of management-level experience.
  • Dynamic leader with a track record of effective communication across various organizations and management levels, using a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience managing an MRP/ERP system in a variety of applications is required.
  • Specific APICS courses or certification related to Supply Chain Management is strongly desired.
  • Lean manufacturing certification and demonstrated ability to apply standard lean tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency is strongly desired.
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Office Suite of applications.

Pay

The annualized salary for this role is $125,100.00 - $147,600.00.
