Senior Manager, Strategy & Transformation

About the role

Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI), a subsidiary of McKesson, is seeking a mission-driven Senior Manager of Strategy & Transformation to lead enterprise-level initiatives that advance oncology treatments and improve outcomes for cancer patients. This role is responsible for driving strategic growth, market share expansion, customer and employee satisfaction, and key performance improvements across the organization. The Senior Manager will lead a team of internal consultants and program managers to design, implement, and sustain new processes, organizational designs, and growth initiatives, while fostering change management and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of Program Managers leading high-impact strategic initiatives across Sarah Cannon.
• Lead Business Analysts to develop and maintain operational dashboards for SCRI key performance indicators in Strategy and Operations.
• Partner with Senior Director, Strategy and Transformation to facilitate senior leadership in identifying, scheduling, and prioritizing strategic initiatives.
• Maintain ongoing communication to ensure timely issue resolution, risk mitigation, and initiative status updates.
• Serve as the single point of contact for complex enterprise deployments and manage projects of significant complexity with interdependencies.
• Oversee project management activities of direct reports to ensure excellence in initiative management and coaching of department resources.
• Establish and lead high-visibility, enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives, including launching new products and services, application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Lead implementation of changes and guide impacted teams through the change journey, ensuring sustained adoption post-project.
• Communicate and partner with internal and external organizations to ensure successful change implementation.
• Implement effective control mechanisms to sustain implemented changes and propose recommendations and process improvements.
• Lead process improvement community initiatives and growth across the organization.

Requirements

• Change management and project management techniques and tools.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in the research environment and healthcare processes.
• Strong working relationship with leadership for quick problem resolution and staff support.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives with large change impacts.

Qualifications

• Advanced facilitation and leadership skills, including written and oral communication and fostering collaboration.
• Interpersonal skills and advanced analytic capabilities, including Six Sigma methods and tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
• Strong people management skills to coach direct reports.

This position is hybrid and based in Nashville, TN.
