About the role

Gotham FC is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategy & Operations who will report to the Director of Commercial Strategy & Operations. This role will operate at the center of the business, interfacing with all members of the executive team, helping shape commercial strategy, lead cross-functional initiatives, and execute high-impact projects that drive revenue growth. This role will work directly with the President, executive leadership team, ownership, and key external partners on some of the club’s highest-priority efforts.

This position is ideal for candidates coming from strategy consulting, business operations, or high-growth environments who are excited about building the future of a rapidly scaling sports organization. This individual must have a passion for women’s sports and/or soccer, ability to work non-traditional hours, and live in the NYC metro area.

Responsibilities

Commercial Operations

  • Serve as a key operational leader for the Club's commercial organization, driving alignment across ticketing, partnerships, marketing, business intelligence, and fan experience.
  • Help own the commercial operating cadence, including weekly business reviews, go-to-market planning, and cross-functional execution against key priorities.
  • Design and implement processes, operating rhythms, and tools that improve collaboration, accountability, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify operational bottlenecks and improve execution across major commercial initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional project management for strategic initiatives spanning multiple departments.

Commercial Strategy

  • Serve as a strategic partner across key commercial priorities including ticketing, partnerships, marketing, and fan growth.
  • Support development of weekly, monthly and quarterly business reporting, synthesizing commercial performance, key insights, and strategic initiatives for executive leadership and ownership.
  • Help coordinate the club’s quarterly objective-setting process, aligning cross-functional leadership on strategic priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Support the development of annual and long-term strategic plans, helping identify growth opportunities and key investments.
  • Conduct strategic analysis and develop recommendations to support major business decisions.
  • Support leadership on ad hoc special projects and serve as owner of subset of key initiatives.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in strategy consulting, business operations, corporate strategy, or high-growth environments.
  • Experience structuring ambiguous problems and developing actionable insights.
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations and strategic materials.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and leading initiatives that drive operational improvements and organizational change.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Location

This role will work at Gotham FC’s business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey. There is an expectation of three in-person days, with the ability to be on location more depending on project needs. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise.

Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility, and Sports Illustrated Stadium.

Pay

Salary range: Between $95,000 and $120,000 annually, depending on experience.

Schedule

12-month contract with a strong opportunity to convert to a full-time position based on performance and organizational needs.
