About the Role
Lead and grow a high-performing Sourcing & Procurement (S&P) team for a large life sciences client. Work directly with S&P leadership, Account leadership, and the client to manage expectations and team deliverables. This includes accountability for effectively managing, mentoring, recruiting, and developing a team of world-class Sourcing and Procurement professionals. Provide impactful leadership in a cross-functional and collaborative environment to drive immediate and sustained benefits for the client and JLL.
Responsibilities
- Drive results through S&P program implementation, monitoring progress, managing to operational excellence guidelines, and meeting account-level KPIs and goals.
- Develop and deliver total supply chain strategy and solutions, including innovative category, sourcing, and vendor strategies, supplier performance and relationship management, oversee compliance and controls, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Proactively manage internal and external expectations by understanding business needs and priorities.
- Oversee annual sourcing plan development, actively manage the plan with the business, and execute against it, including Annual Benchmarking of existing 3rd Party Contractor spend against external data points.
- Identify risks and opportunities for clients/stakeholders and recommend strategies to achieve company goals while mitigating risk.
- Own sourcing compliance and controls, including Contract and COI compliance, RFx/Process Improvements, Diverse Spend, and adherence to the Procurement Playbook.
- Identify and share opportunities for improvement with appropriate functional leaders.
- Manage the 3rd Party Supplier Performance Management Program, including collaboration with operations teams to develop scorecards through surveys and CMMS metrics, sharing results and reviewing with select 3rd Party Subcontractors via QBR process, and delivering a quarterly report to Operations Teams and the Client.
- Ensure all sourcing technology tools and subject matter experts are leveraged across all assigned accounts.
- Partner closely with operations by providing management, detailed instruction, and follow-up to support operations teams in standardized RFP/bid and contracting processes.
- Develop and maintain systematic, analytical, and results-based methods for savings, monitoring supplier performance, sourcing effectiveness, and communicate these results to the business.
- Recruit, develop, rotate, and retain top S&P talent. Support the career development of key roles through mentoring and visible leadership.
- Create high-performing, integrated sourcing teams committed to delivering sustainable operational excellence.
- Manage and coach teams on their performance, progress, and developmental goals, including analyzing strengths and areas of opportunity for growth into actionable career development plans.
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative team culture within and outside of direct reports.
- Ensure the vision and strategy of the client sourcing plan are implemented and aligned with necessary objectives.
- Lead and participate in client meetings and strategy sessions.
- Establish and maintain relationships with the Account Director and other client leadership.
- Provide strategic vision for all S&P aspects of the business, including best practices and innovation.
- Develop and lead complex short-term and longer-term sourcing strategies, effectively manage suppliers and internal networks to deliver best-in-class performance across associated accounts.
- Establish relationships with key stakeholders, including Corporate Legal and Risk Management, to ensure all contractual terms and conditions comply with standards or other contract changes are formally reviewed and approved.
- Continually manage and assess suppliers through the established supplier performance management program.
Requirements
- 8+ years of strategic sourcing experience for services or indirect categories related to facilities services, highly desired along with people management experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree – Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
- MBA, CPM, CPSM, or CPSD certification preferred.
- Excellent PC skills, proficient in MS applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- E-procurement experience, preferably Jaggaer.
- Willingness to travel within the U.S. (approximately 25%).
