Senior Manager, Staff Counsel - New York (REMOTE)

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of lawsuit defenses for the company insureds in liability and subrogation cases
• Conduct interviews and evaluate job candidates for employment within the legal department
• Research laws and prepare legal documents, including briefs and opinions, for cases
• Train and supervise junior attorneys, assisting them during trials and ensuring compliance with bar requirements
• Review performance metrics and implement changes to enhance office productivity and client satisfaction

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of people management experience, preferably managing attorneys
• Licensed in good standing to practice law in applicable jurisdictions with active CLE compliance
• At least 10 years of litigation experience, focusing on insurance defense or personal injury
• Proven capabilities in handling complex trials with significant severity
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Pay

• $166,050 – $260,350 annually
