Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering - National Security (Defense)

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering – National Security (Defense) to lead a Solutions Engineering function focused on national‑security and defense engagements. The role partners closely with sales, customers, and internal product teams to shape field strategies, resolve escalations, and translate operational needs into actionable improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a Solutions Engineering team supporting national security and defense sectors.
• Define technical quality standards for deployments, trials, and customer documentation.
• Manage team resources to prioritize and allocate Solutions Engineering efforts effectively.
• Establish sustainable travel and deployment schedules without negatively impacting team retention.
• Develop technical strategies for evaluations, proof‑of‑concept activities, and field trials for the company’s solutions.
• Serve as the senior technical escalation point for critical deployment challenges and customer engagements.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable input for internal teams and product enhancement efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant technical experience in a customer‑facing technical role with defense customers.
• 5+ years of federal government or defense experience related to UAS operations or acquisition.
• 1+ years of experience leading a technical team, either formally or as a technical lead.
• Strong understanding of defense acquisition processes from requirements to fielding.
• Technical expertise in UAS platforms, RF systems, or government IT security.
• Proficient in navigating a sales organization and managing deal strategies.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.

Pay

$172,000 – $215,000 annually.
