Senior Manager, Software Engineering - SAP Payroll Systems
About the role
The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of Walmart US SAP Payroll systems, focusing on SAP HCM Payroll and related HR technologies. They will guide engineering teams, collaborate with HR/payroll business stakeholders, ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, and deliver high-quality, highly scalable payroll solutions for Walmart's global workforce.
What you'll do
- Timely execution of a product and technical roadmap, ensuring robustness and quality of the application.
- Closely working with partners across disciplines, including product design and engineering teams.
- Being hands-on in managing team members, including hiring, providing growth opportunities, and offering timely feedback on their performance.
- Living the culture of servant leadership, enabling the team to succeed and unblocking issues as needed.

- A strong focus on SAP HCM Payroll and related HR technologies, with 20+ years of SAP functional and technical expertise.

Minimum Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. 2 years’ supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
- Demonstrated knowledge in creating inclusive digital experiences, implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
