About the role

The Lead Backend Engineer position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that support our customer-facing applications. This role requires expertise in modern web technologies and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust backend services using microservices architecture
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Optimize system performance and ensure high availability through continuous monitoring and proactive maintenance
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and standards
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in backend development
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Java, Python, or Go
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and HTTP protocols
• Experience with database design and optimization
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
