Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the annual PR and external communications strategy in alignment with business objectives and SBU priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to MDs and senior leaders on messaging, positioning, and reputational considerations.
  • Lead issues and crisis communications support, including drafting holding statements, advising on response strategy, and coordinating with Legal, HR, and Internal Communications.
  • Identify and build executive thought leadership programs for key spokespeople across the firm.
  • Drive proactive media pitching strategy, identifying and vetting opportunities aligned with business priorities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with priority journalists across target trade and business publications.
  • Care for and coordinate media interviews, including logistics, preparation, and post-interview follow-up.
  • Develop comprehensive briefing documents for spokespeople in advance of interviews.
  • Manage the global media inbox, triaging and responding to inbound inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate amplification of media coverage on social media in partnership with business units and the marketing team.
  • Oversee PR measurement and reporting, including coverage tracking, share of voice analysis, and quarterly reporting to leadership on program impact.
  • Maintain the internal PR SharePoint site as the firm's central knowledge hub, including guidelines, processes, templates, and case studies.
  • Partner with SBU leadership to identify and develop new voices for media engagement.
  • Conduct media training for new MDs and emerging spokespeople to expand the firm's spokesperson bench across SBUs.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and message refinement for active spokespeople.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of public relations experience, ideally with a mix of agency and in-house experience.
  • Proven track record securing high-impact media coverage in business and trade publications.
  • Strong writer and editor across formats — press releases, bylines, talking points, executive communications.
  • Experience advising senior executives and managing complex, cross-functional stakeholder environments.
  • Comfort operating in a global organization with multiple business units.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control, ensuring consistent messaging across business units while accounting for risk and reputational considerations.
  • Crisis and issues communications experience strongly preferred.
