Senior Manager - Project Controls

Shimmick is seeking a highly talented Project Controls Senior Manager to support company operations. Responsibilities

• Develop commercial strategies and participate in negotiations.
• Lead the project controls function on medium to large projects.
• Document employee performance issues and assist in resolution; mentor and train team members.
• Conduct root cause analysis and draft comprehensive project procedures.
• Apply expert knowledge of scope control, change management, and construction contracting.
• Review performance trends, prepare cost impact analyses, and recommend contractor invoices for approval.
• Evaluate manpower, labor hours, and labor costs against budget limitations.
• Oversee production and maintenance of accurate project schedules, including resource loading and leveling.
• Assist the Project Manager in budgeting and managing incentive programs.
• Analyze project programs and oversee production of accurate progress/performance reports.
• Review and assess raw data from automated project systems.
• Participate in client and/or subcontractor negotiations.
• Contribute to staffing decisions for projects.
• Maintain a tracking database to align subcontractor funding with work authorization and expenditures.
• Track change order status to ensure the Project Management team is fully informed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of experience with engineering, procurement, and construction projects.
• Field experience required; 5+ years preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $165,000 – $190,000 per year, depending on experience and/or education. This position is eligible to participate in the company's annual bonus program.
