Senior Manager, Product Management - Developer Experience, AI Coding Tools
About the role
Product Management at Capital One is a dynamic field that involves reimagining the status quo, identifying value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. The team focuses on how thousands of Capital One’s engineers can write, review, and ship software faster with AI. The team owns the enterprise strategy and delivery for Capital One's AI coding tool portfolio, and the agency tools that will shape the future of software development.
Responsibilities
- Translate frontier AI capabilities into well-governed, developer-loved products
- Reduce friction so more developers adopt AI-augmented workflows
- Scale AI code review to become the enterprise default
- Ensure the tools fully embed Capital One's standards & context
Requirements
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field), Business or Marketing
- Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 4 years of Product Management experience
Qualifications
- Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
- Experience exploring, prototyping, or implementing emerging technologies and AI automation tools (such as Gemini, Claude, Claude Code, or Google Apps Script)
- Strong data fluency in SQL, metrics design, and data pipelines

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
- Chicago, IL: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
- Mclean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
- Plano, TX: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
- Richmond, VA: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management
Pay
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
Schedule
This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
