Western Union is seeking a strategic, data-driven, and execution-focused Senior Product Manager to join our Compliance Systems & Analytics (CS&A) team. In this role, you will shape the vision, roadmap, and delivery of a critical platform supporting global risk and compliance functions. This highly cross-functional role requires collaboration across Operations, Policy, Data, and Technology to mature product capabilities, drive transformation, and deliver innovative tools for an evolving global compliance landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the transformation of next-generation compliance products from conception to implementation and beyond.
  • Work cross-functionally to understand global compliance needs, user personas, and competition to identify opportunities, formulate requirements, and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Product Strategy & Vision:
    • Partner with Risk and Compliance teams to understand regulatory trends, pain points, and future-state needs.
    • Define product strategy aligning with business priorities, regulatory mandates, and enterprise transformation.
    • Develop outcome-oriented roadmaps for systems such as case management, investigations, regulatory reporting, and audit.
    • Use data to inform prioritization, evaluate product performance (KPIs), and identify product opportunities.
  • Execution & Delivery:
    • Understand user and stakeholder needs, gather product requirements, and prioritize based on business impact.
    • Foster relationships with stakeholders and communicate workstream status, issues, and risks regularly.
    • Translate strategic goals into clear, prioritized product Epics and Features.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams through discovery, development, and deployment while ensuring timelines, scope, and quality targets are met.
    • Ensure Epics and Features meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) to support effective planning and delivery.
    • Communicate product plans and performance to all levels of the organization, including executive leadership updates.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and operational stakeholders to align on requirements, dependencies, and business outcomes.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports, providing guidance and support to enable their success.
    • Mature and grow the Product organization through continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, creativity, and communication.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on digital transformation or modernization, ideally in financial services or compliance.
  • Proven success managing complex B2C/B2B or enterprise platforms, ideally in compliance, fraud, risk, or case management domains.
  • Strong understanding of compliance workflows such as KYC, AML, transaction monitoring, and regulatory audits.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically, balancing short-term execution with long-term vision.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and align stakeholders around a shared vision.
  • Experience working in and enhancing Agile delivery processes.
  • Experience in discovery sessions, user research, and cross-team workshops to identify new opportunities for product innovation.

Schedule

Hybrid - Minimum of three days per week in the office to foster in-person collaboration, problem-solving, and ideation.

Pay

The base salary range is $130,000 - $170,000 per year. Total on-target compensation includes a base salary plus short-term incentives aligned with individual and company performance.
