About the role

Lead marketing product launch, inventory management and forecasting efforts for the generics commercial team. This position will generate sales analytics, product management and portfolio analysis to support the Generics Retail business. The role will be responsible for working with supply chain, manufacturing, sales team and internal pricing and contracts teams. This role will require cross-functional collaboration with several brand business units, retail generics, and institutional generics to successfully process and administer all contracts and bids for commercial products specifically to meet the department and company goals. This role reports into the Associate Director, Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex data of generic pharmaceutical product supplies, demand, customer demographics, and pricing to evaluate market dynamics
  • Develop marketing strategy for new product launches and relaunches, analyze internal and external environment, market and product level trends, customer behavior to product forecast for commercial products
  • Provide input to supply chain for sales planning and lead product growth with sales team to drive business and achieve revenue, profit and market share goals
  • Set marketing objectives, strategies, and performance targets for product; track performance metrics and recommend remediating actions through new product launch customer compliance
  • Manage new product launch of 20+ molecules annually, product level forecasting, track new awards and manage wins and losses
  • Develop and maintain all necessary reporting to support product and customer level forecasting and allocation during the new product launch phase
  • Assist in development of sales budgets and forecasts
  • Analyze internal supply schedule vs forecast and ensure supply team is providing requested products on time and volumes to support the business
  • Provide proactive and in-depth financial analysis of product or market-specific business activity for new product launches
  • Create and ensure accuracy of monthly IQVIA data analysis and reports for sales team and senior management for new product launches
  • Monitor market share at product level based on competition, pricing utilization, costs and work with sales team and pricing team to evaluate recommendations for forecast adjustments during new product launch phase
  • Prepare, deliver and present in PowerPoint and Excel to summarize complex data analysis – Sun and competitor’s market share, position, sales, and other key metrics – where Sun competes in new product launch phase prior to transitioning to in-line
  • Work with internal stakeholders to retrieve and prepare various data sources such as direct customer sales, indirect distributor sales, and other adjustments for purposes of forecasting, sales planning and budgeting
  • Complete ad-hoc analyses and projects per Management's request
  • Review and address interdepartmental requests for product and marketing information
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Travel between NJ and NY sites required, as defined by business needs, up to 20% travel

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree and 4–5 years of experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Generic pharmaceutical industry experience required
  • Strong computer skills, including extensive knowledge & proficiency in Microsoft Excel – ability to understand and maneuver large amounts of spreadsheet data is necessary
  • Good organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships, and foster an environment of teamwork and collaboration
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including ability to communicate with all levels of personnel in company
  • Understanding of market trends, customer needs, financial data and competitive intelligence
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Pay

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $122,000 to $149,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan.
