We’re currently seeking a Senior Manager, Product Design to join the Navigator Platform team, which is part of the Experience Design organization. The Capital One Navigator platform is an integrated digital marketplace that bridges the gap between a customer's online car search and their physical dealership experience. As a Senior Manager on the Navigator Platform team, you’ll operate at the intersection of B2B enterprise design and cutting-edge AI innovation. You will combine your craft expertise, business acumen, and strategic influence to elevate experiences that empower dealers to build meaningful relationships with car buyers. Your work will directly impact both dealers and customers through innovations in dealer-to-customer messaging, campaign tools, and conversational AI experiences.
About the Role
Thriving as a versatile design leader and mentor, you will set a high bar for design execution—coaching ICs on pattern discipline and component usage while championing iconic customer experiences. You will serve as an essential cross-functional bridge, uniting product, engineering, and diverse stakeholder groups to resolve complex problems across the Navigator Platform ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate established expertise in product design, leveraging skills across interaction, visual, and service design. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to oversee and optimize the use of appropriate tools, platforms, frameworks, and design systems. Develop artifacts such as vision stories, journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes.
- Reinforce a positive and inclusive team environment, set goals aligned to broader portfolio strategy, manage stakeholders, remove barriers, and train and develop designers to reach their potential.
- Shape product direction and outcomes by leveraging deep design expertise, user insights, and an understanding of the business. Drive alignment across product, tech, and business partners, ensuring user needs are central to overall strategy.
- Advocate for human-centered methodologies that align customer needs and business goals by applying data, research insights, design expertise, and a mature perspective to problem-solving.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of products, processes, customers, competitors, and broader market trends. Use that knowledge to shape how Design engages, actively managing the portfolio, pivoting, redirecting, and adjusting scope as needed.
- Own the problem-solving approach (issue, impact, resolution) and apply good judgment when exploring alternatives and balancing competing interests or priorities. Leverage leadership for input and alignment.
- Engage partner expertise and perspectives from across the organization to support workstream projects and identify the people needed to move the work forward. Embrace compromise to solve strategic challenges and deliver the best results.
- Present work across levels and job functions, modeling a strategic human-centered approach that integrates design frameworks, data, and research insights to make the complex accessible and influence stakeholders.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience in a Product Design role
- At least 6 years of experience in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- At least 2 years of experience in a people leadership role
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience in a Product Design role
- At least 8 years of experience in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- Experience working with and contributing to an established design system
- Experience collaborating with product, tech, and business leaders
- Experience leading design projects or teams
- Experience working in heavily regulated, data-heavy problem spaces
Pay
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
- Plano, TX: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Manager, Design
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. The actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
