Senior Manager, Private Equity Value Creation - Accounting & Finance Transformation

The Private Equity Value Creation team accelerates operational and financial performance across Private Equity - held portfolio companies through targeted, execution-focused transformation. From optimizing accounting processes to enhancing the use of financial systems and data, the team helps companies scale efficiently and unlock measurable value. By combining deep finance operations expertise with technology-enabled solutions and hands-on implementation, the group improves cash flow, strengthens controls, and drives sustainable profitability-delivering results aligned to each value-creation thesis.
What You Will Do
- Lead and oversee multiple complex value-creation engagements for private equity clients, typically focused on accounting process improvement, close cycle time reduction, and enhanced financial and management reporting (e.g. FP&A) initiatives
- Serve as a senior trusted advisor and executive-level point of contact, building strong client relationships and providing strategic insight across portfolio companies
- Own overall engagement strategy and execution, guiding teams across multiple workstreams while ensuring alignment to the value-creation objectives
- Drive end-to-end transformation initiatives, including current-state assessments, gap analyses, and design of scalable future-state solutions across P2P, O2C, and C2R/R2R processes
- Provide subject matter leadership across finance operations, including accounting, close optimization, working capital improvements, and technology-enabled process transformation
- Liaison with other teams to evaluate, select, and oversee implementation of financial systems and tools (e.g., NetSuite, Dynamics, Sage), ensuring automation, scalability, and strong internal controls
- Oversee financial reporting, accounting policy, and internal controls design, ensuring alignment with GAAP and private equity expectations
- Guide development of financial models, forecasts, and KPIs, translating insights into actionable recommendations for executive stakeholders and investors
- Review and provide oversight of month-end close transformations, including cash-to-accrual conversions and reporting standardization
- Deliver executive-level presentations and board-ready materials, including performance insights, operational improvements, and transformation roadmaps
- Ensure quality and consistency of all client deliverables, while establishing best practices, methodologies, and repeatable frameworks across engagements
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development support
- Drive business development efforts, including leading proposals, expanding existing client relationships, and identifying cross-selling opportunities across portfolio companies
- Contribute to practice growth and strategy, including building intellectual capital, developing offerings, and enhancing delivery methodologies
