Position Overview
The Manager / Senior Accounting Manager will manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial statements of the Company's fund partnership vehicles focused on Private Equity, Venture Capital, Real Estate & Infrastructure investments in primary and secondary limited partnership investments and direct equity co-investments. This role involves working closely with the Fund Accounting, Treasury, Operations, and Investment Operations teams.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of funds, including reviewing work prepared by the fund administrator, accounting entries, cash and investment accounts, investment partnership reports, capital account activity, quarterly and annual financial statements, and preparing annual audits.
- Coordinate with the Fund Accounting, Treasury, and Operations teams, as well as the Investment Operations team, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Deliver quarterly and annual investor reports and respond to investor requests in a timely manner.
- Calculate and distribute investor capital call and distribution notices, understand partnership agreements, and interpret reporting requirements and partner economics.
- Work with General Partners and underlying investors on accounting/reporting questions and other issues.
- Perform treasury management functions, such as reviewing and approving wire templates and wires, monitoring cash positions, and preparing cash projections.
- Manage line of credit facilities, including arranging borrowings and repayment, quarterly compliance certificates, and interest and unused fee calculations.
- Support the Compliance team by preparing materials for ADV, Form PF, SLT, etc., and perform other duties as requested.
- Train and manage junior professionals and review their work.
- Support tax reporting and analysis of tax matters, and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Experience with accounting for private equity partnership, fund of funds, and Real Estate fund accounting.
- CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 5-7 years' professional accounting experience.
- Experience with SEC registered investment advisors.
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities against fast-paced key deadlines.
- Previous experience with Investment Company Accounting and ASC 820 (FAS 157) and FIN 48.
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of client, investment, and company information.
- Acute attention to accuracy and detail.
- Professional demeanor and an ability to work well in a team environment.
- Highly proficient in using Excel, Word, and other Microsoft office programs.
- Willingness and ability to learn and implement new programs and processes.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors such as location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
