About the role
As the Senior Manager, Pricing & Programming, you will lead a team responsible for all pricing and programming practices within Samsung Home Appliances. This position will develop creative solutions surrounding pricing and customer programs and drive cross-functional work processes focused on accelerating growth for the Builder channel. The role will conduct data and trend analysis focused on tracking programming and profitability, and directly engage with Marketing, Sales, Demand Generation, and Finance departments.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and customers to understand current trends and customer strategies, making recommendations regarding pricing and customer promotions.
- Identify opportunities for revenue and profit improvement, developing plans with Marketing and Regional Sales Leadership to execute.
- Provide thought leadership to Product Marketing by analyzing complex channel, consumer, and marketplace dynamics.
- Influence leadership regarding gaps and opportunities to grow business and gain approval within tight timelines.
- Develop and administer annual customer programs for hundreds of customers.
- Identify gaps in current processes and develop best practices for improving pricing and promotion integrity and accuracy.
- Lead customer pricing analyses and create fresh ideas and solutions to grow businesses and achieve sales targets.
- Report monthly to Leadership to ensure profitability targets are met, forecasting and sharing the impact of future projects on the P/L.
- Manage and maintain Salesforce data, best practices, and quoting for Account Managers across the country.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s/MBA preferred) with 8+ years in a corporate setting, with prior exposure in one or more of the following areas: Pricing Management, Data Analytics, Business Operations, Process Improvement, Sales Finance, Business Development, or Consulting.
- Outgoing personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with internal departments and influence alignment across a wide network of contacts.
- Ability to understand variance and potential conflicts across customer demands, Sales organization, and Corporate departments, and push back where needed.
- Enthusiasm for numbers and analytics, with a desire to independently dig into data for insights.
- Excellent Excel skills, with experience building and navigating financial and mathematical models.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems proactively.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage hard deadlines and quick turnarounds.
- Prior experience managing people.
- Home Appliance experience is a plus.
- Salesforce experience is mandatory.
