Senior Manager PM Support - Meetinghouse Facilities

About the role

This position helps provide and maintain facilities which give Church members places where they can worship, teach, learn, pray together, make and renew covenants, and receive sacred ordinances. Each Church facility that is built and/or maintained should 1) Provide a spiritual setting for members to worship, and 2) Present an image of reverence and dignity in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all projects pertinent to their sections are completed on time, within budget and of appropriate quality.
  • Motivate staff to ensure the highest quality of work performance.
  • Responsible for training and development of staff.
  • Ensure all staff associated with their section are performing at a level commensurate with their responsibilities.
  • Define measurable performance metrics for their section staff and monitor progress.
  • Effectively manage the workload of their section to meet customer expectations.
  • Carefully coordinate the expectations and needs of multiple clients assigned to their sections.
  • Provide feedback to the Division Director regarding project progress, client satisfaction and Division key initiatives.
  • Effectively manage the Section budget and expenses.

Qualifications

  • BS, BA from an accredited college or university, preferably in engineering, architecture, construction, facilities, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in directing and being responsible for complex projects and project staff.
  • A thorough understanding of personnel and project management principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with ecclesiastical leaders, clients, management and staff.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, including knowledge and proficiency in Word, Power Point, Excel.
  • Commitment to research and understand industry best practices in management and technical aspects of Section focus.
  • Must be a role model for staff.
