The goal of the Cboe Platform Engineering group focuses around building a scalable and secure foundations platform, enabling the Cboe operations, software engineering and application teams to deploy, validate, and operate their services in production, improve resiliency of the service and increase organizational efficiency by reducing operational toil and increase system efficiency through architectural evolution. The Senior Manager of Platform Engineering will play a pivotal role in driving the design, implementation, and management of our cloud-native infrastructure across both public cloud (AWS) and on-premises Linux environments. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Platform Engineering, this role will lead a team of platform engineers responsible for building scalable, secure, and resilient platforms — running workloads across hybrid infrastructure focused on outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of platform engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure across AWS and on-prem Linux/Kubernetes environments.
- Lead the architectural design of platform solutions across hybrid (cloud and on-prem) environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security best practices are incorporated.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and ensure successful delivery of platform projects.
